Customer Reviews
Like a trip to an old fashioned barber shop...
Established in 1752, Caswell-Massey is the oldest perfumer - and one of the oldest companies - in America. Its lofty stature has made it an American legend and a favorite among several White House residents dating back to George Washington. The company claims that John F. Kennedy preferred the Jockey Club product line, a dry and woody scent that conjures up memories of the old style barber shops (for those who can remember them). Nostalgia aside, Jockey Club has been rolling off the production lines since 1840...certainly a testament to its staying power.
Like most of the C-M products, the cologne version is fairly stout, but the aftershave and A-S balm are subtle enough to be used every day scent. Jockey Club after shave may not be embraced by the modern day metrosexual, but it is a classic, relatively inexpensive, masculine scent worthy of its iconic status.
