Fantastic
The other guy who reviewed this probably just doesn't know how to shave. This razor will give you a much less "rough cut" than any razor you'll find on wal-mart's shelves. If you got a rough cut from it, you're pressing too hard. So learn how to shave properly, THEN blame the instrument if it isn't to your liking. Also, you'll spend less on replacement razors. No more paying 20-25 dollars for FOUR cartridges.
Best razor ever
This is my second Merkur safety razor, the first one I liked and felt i got a pretty good shave. now this one, I don't know what or why the little teeth on it work so well but it does seem to help. I find my shaving has gotten to be so much smoother and easier.
I've tried a variety of blades and find so far my favorite are the Wilkerson sword and the Derby extra.
old not always better
Love the look but already went back to new razor
just too rough of a cut
Classic shaving using the straight razors or double edge razors means giving myself the closest shave possible. Plus, it is also giving myself time to unwind. I could say that most of the time, I get my wonderful ideas while shaving. Thanks for sharing!
